Ipsos
MORI report back

Three cheers for Ipsos MORI, who just finished their first 10:10 year with a brilliant 13% carbon saving. We're hoping to do a full case study on how they did it, but in the meantime I thought I'd share this quick report they sent in with their end-of-year emissions data:

Ipsos MORI signed up to the 10:10 commitment because we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We started by asking the Carbon Trust to conduct an audit of our premises and followed their advice, which was to fit PIR lighting to the basement, stairwells, meeting rooms, offices and toilets. Our IT department switched to virtual servers, which saved a huge amount. We have also moved from linen roll towel driers to air blade driers which are economical and cleaner to use. This has saved us the carbon from the van collecting, delivering and the cleaning of the roll towels. We achieved a reduction of 13% in our target year and are hoping to do more this year.
