At Sheffield is my Planet, a local climate change campaign partnered with 10:10, we created a spoof 1950’s public information film: ‘Important advice from the Ministry of Compost’.  With the Ministry’s top tips, you’ll be able to improve your gardening yield and cut CO₂!

The helpful and hilarious video is encouraging Sheffielders to compost their garden and kitchen waste and offering discounted compost bins to city residents.

Almost two thirds of the food thrown away in the UK could be composted. Everything from vegetable scraps and egg shells, to tea bags and fruit peelings makes a great compost mix.

By helping people make simple, carbon-saving changes at home, we are reducing Sheffield’s carbon footprint and helping to minimise the global impact of climate change.
