URGENT:
The Lighter Later law?

This is an amazing opportunity – help us take Lighter Later all the way to Parliament

For the last three months we've been working hard on Lighter Later, a carbon-cutting, economy-boosting, accident-preventing campaign to change the clocks so our waking hours are more closely aligned with the hours of daylight. (find out how).

Today, we have a unique chance to take the campaign forward, and maybe even get it passed into law. But we need your help.

Joan Walley, the MP for Stoke-on-Trent North (and a big 10:10 supporter) is among just 20 MPs to have been chosen to submit a Private Members' Bill this year. Walley is considering making Lighter Later the subject of her Bill, but she needs to know that her constituents support it.

If you live in Joan Walley's Stoke-on-Trent North constituency or know anyone that does (find out), this is your moment! But time is short: Walley will make up her mind over the next few days, so it's vital that we act quickly.

Here's what to do:

1. Email Joan Walley

IMPORTANT: Only do this if you live in her Stoke-on-Trent North constituency (enter your postcode here to find out

Email: walleyj@parliament.uk

Your message doesn't need to be long or complicated – just tell her that as a constituent, you would like her to choose Lighter Later as her Private Members' Bill.

It's important to use your own words and explain why this is important to you personally, but we support it because it will cut carbon, save lives and boost the economy. Find out more benefits here.

2. Spread the word

If you know anyone in Joan Walley's constituency, send them the link to this page and encourage them to contact her. It's important that she hears from as many of her constituents as possible.

We haven't got long, but if we're successful this could be huge. Let's make it happen!
