Did you know that we use close to 1 trillion plastic bags each year? And we throw away most of them. Imagine first the energy required to produce those bags, and then imagine the pollution they cause once we throw them away. Imagine all the animals that choke on plastic bags, get accidentally strangled by plastic bags, or are negativelly impacted by them in so many other ways.

Now imagine all the zillions of paper bags we used and imagine all the trees that had to be cut to produce those paper bags - all the pines, and the lovely forests, and the shades, and the habitats...destroyed...so we could have our paper bag.
