This week, we launched the national roll out of Solar Schools and brought our Remade initiative to an end (or at least we tried – the new ideas for fixing things just keep coming in).

• Together with the Guardian, we announced the start of Solar Schools' national rollout on 1 May and we have since been inundated with applications from schools throughout the UK. In September we hope to have 100 schools ready to take on the solar challenge. Check out the video above featuring one school that's already made it happen. 

• In our last "Remade" week, we decided to focus on tips to help you extend your computer's life. So, if your slow computer is driving you mad, get it running like new again with this beginner's guide.
• We also published  a guest blog from sugru inventor Jane Ni Dhulchaointigh as she explains why she loves repairing, and introduces sugru's philosophy of fixing.
• Meanwhile over in Bangladesh, the recent Remade workshop, where young 10:10ers made everything from a pen holder to bins out of recycled materials, was featured in Bangladesh's The Daily Star. 

• The team in Denmark shared some lovely pictures from their Remade workshop with us this week (defying the cold in Copenhagen, see above) and also shared a new low-carbon recipe with us. So, if you've always wanted to try dandelion juice, read on.
