This week: low-carbon inspiration for your kitchen from 10:10 Mediterranean, Gorilla-Guerilla action at the University of Amsterdam and a new car-sharing campaign by the French Open.

  • The University of Amsterdam, are tackling their 10% with the help of the 10:10 Guerrillas - a group of students who've made it their goal to get the uni's emissions down in fun and creative ways. Last week, they organised a "beat the stairs competition", encouraging fellow students and professors to give the lifts a break. Check out the video here

  • Calling everyone in Bucharest: 10:10 Romania's friends at Cutezatorii magazine are hosting a fab event this Saturday, 28 May: 31 schools from 13 districts of Romania will participate in a cycling contest with great 10:10 prizes awaiting the winners!

As the biggest parliament building in the world and also the second largest administrative building in the world (guess which one's the first), the fulfillment of such a commitment would make Romania a real 10:10 pioneer. 
  • One of 10:10 UK's major sign ups, University College Hospital was featured in the Guardian today. After recognising that 75% of their entire carbon footprint came from the materials and equipment they bought in, staff teamed up with other trusts to centralise transportation and draw up detailed low-carbon purchasing guidance.
