Their parents and teachers will join them. They are all the winners of the Eco Fun Contest and will receive prizes for their performing. They will also find out other information about the protection of the environment and how they can reduce their Carbon Footprint. The winners will also receive the 10:10 checklist in Romanian.

Anca Spiridon is the editorial assistant of the Bold-Hearted (Cutezatorii ) Magazine, a monthly published since 2006 in Romania, Ploiesti (a city 60 km far from Bucharest) tell us more (quote):

"Our magazine is for children between the ages of 8 and 15 and distributing at a national area through school network to our readers. We have a constant column about environmental issues and even organized since 2008 a national contest with an ecologist subject in partnership with The Ministry of Education and schools from Romania. This edition is entitled: “We help the environment using bicycle”. It is about to decrease the pollution choosing the bicycle instead the car. In Romania even if there is good news for the users of bicycle still are many hardships in the way of bicyclists: road facilities, the mentality of people and authorities. Although there are many steps forward thanks to courageous and restless nongovernmental organizations we have.

The main idea of the contest is cutting our carbon mark.

In addition, the contest has four categories: painting, photo, graphic design, journalism and final act will run in May 28 when the winners from all around the country – around 200 persons: children, parents and teachers - will receive awards and they could meet other people with similar aims. The event will take place at University of Ecology in Bucharest."
