10:10 had its first public launch in Bangladesh on August 19^th-21 at Bongobondhu International Conference Centre at an Eco-tourism, Green Trade and Environment Fair.

It was a three day event, where different stalls where present showcasing on renewable energies, eco-tourism and green trade.  As part of the hub’s effort to reduce its C02 emissions, its parent company Bangladesh Information Gateway Ltd. (BIG) promoted the use of solar lamps. The reason behind it was to replace the use of kerosene lamps because kerosene lamps emit about 250kgs of C02 per year.

With couple of young chaps with sign-up forms, the signing up of people from Bangladesh began, So far only a couple of people signed up not exactly sure to what they were signing up too even though there were getting briefed about it.

Then again, it was the first kick-off to 10:10 in Bangladesh. It was a brilliant start!
