Even though Martin Luther King Day is not really celebrated outside of the USA, our hub decided to celebrate the idea of the day - to volunteer in community and do something for others, without expecting anything in return.
So our teams of volunteers spent yesterday, Jan 17th, volunteering in soup kitchens, and community centers. They served low carbon lunches and helped insulate windows, and it was an amazing experience - combining our efforts to reduce carbon emisssions, spread the spirit of volunteering and helping out in the community, and doing something for the less fortunate.
Those of you who follow us on Twitter could read our volunteering updates yesterday.
We will have more photos and stories from volunteers in this week's newsletter (out this Friday) - sign up for free & don't miss news and updates!
